Production Workflow

From Source Files to NIMAC Review

  1. Review your title. Share sample pages, source format, ISBN, grade level, title count and adoption deadline. We review the content and confirm the production scope and schedule.
  2. Build the NIMAS fileset. We structure the content, tag tables and mathematical expressions, prepare images, and assemble the required files and metadata.
  3. Validate and check quality. We check XML structure, referenced images and metadata against the source, and validate the fileset before submission.
  4. Submit and follow up. With publisher authorization and account access, we support NIMAC submission and coordinate any review corrections. NIMAC determines acceptance.

Publisher FAQs

Questions About NIMAS Conversion

Who is this service for?

We work with K-12 and educational publishers preparing student textbooks and core instructional materials for NIMAC. Teacher-only editions are outside NIMAC submission scope; uncertain titles should be checked with NIMAC.

How is NIMAS different from an accessible EPUB?

NIMAS is a structured source fileset, rather than a finished student reading format. Accessible media producers use these files to create formats such as braille, large print and digital text. Accessible EPUB production is a separate service.

Which source files can you work from?

We accept InDesign, Word, PDF and scanned or printed source material. Send representative pages so we can assess text extraction, image quality, mathematical content and any OCR requirements.

Can you handle math, tables and complex student content?

Yes. We support MathML, structured tables, image descriptions and complex educational layouts. We review sample pages to confirm the tagging and quality checks required for your title.

Do you handle NIMAC submission?

Yes. We prepare the fileset and metadata, validate it, and support submission and follow-up through NIMAC review using publisher-authorized access. Submission support is included at no additional cost.

What does the free evaluation cover?

We convert one full file free for evaluation, with no page limit. Share the source files and deadline so we can confirm the scope and schedule before production.

How are pricing and turnaround confirmed?

We quote after reviewing sample content, page count, source quality, complexity, volume and the required delivery date. Share your title list and adoption schedule to help us plan production.
